2020 could be the breakthrough year for world boxing
The year where we finally get some clarity within a sport where 4 guys can claim to be world champion, and the best in the division often doesn’t own a belt.
Which begs the question… who on earth do I bet on?
Fear not, here at Superhero Bets we have guys with unrivalled knowledge and a proven track record of Ko’ing bookmakers.
We’re one step closer to finding out who the number one Heavyweight on the planet is with Fury removing Deontay Wilder from the equation and seemingly setting up an undisputed fight with Anthony Joshua, should Joshua come through unscathed against Kubrat Pulev on June 20th.

To clear up any grey areas, yes there is a rematch clause with Wilder vs Fury 3 that Wilder has triggered. That doesn’t mean that fight is next, for a handsome figure Wilder can be put on the sidelines if Eddie Hearn and Bob Arum can put together an undisputed fight with the winner claiming all 4 belts and the number one spot. That’s the fight all fans want to see and also great that both fighters seemingly want it as well.
We can also see another of Britians number 1 pound for pound stars claim the outright number 1 spot at 140lbs, as Scotlands Josh Taylor signs with Bob Arums Top Rank promotion. Top Rank is also home of the other star in the division Jose Ramirez. Both fighters hold 2 belts a piece and being under the same promotional banner this shouldn’t be a difficult fight to make.
Pound for pound star Vasyl Lomachenko sets to continue world domination when he fights Teofimo Lopez at MSG in a cracking fight at 135lbs. Loma the master and Lopez the young exciting up and comer this fight has a lot of pundits split and many polls have tipped Lopez to come out on top.
Canelo Alvarez is yet to pick his opponent for the 2nd May with Britians Billy Joe Saunders and Callum Smith the front runners. Canelo has also yet to find a permanent home. His last fight was at 175lbs against an over the hill Sergey Kovalev and we believe he will move back down to 168lbs but has also stated he can make 160lbs.
Britain’s own Josh Warrington is set for a big year. He’s expressed numerous times he wants the big fights and his happy to cross the Atlantic for them, and with a talent stacked division with the likes of Gary Russell Jnr and Shakur Stevenson, Warrington shouldn’t have to look too far.
We will be providing in depth analysis on all of this years super fights as well as weekly tips for cards from the UK and internationally.
